Gyros are my favorite sandwich! Not only will I always order gyros when they are available on a restaurant menu, but I love making them at home! This Greek-Inspired Meatloaf cuts into slices similar to gyros you might see at a restaurant.
This loaf has all of my favorite Greek flavors. All you need for this super easy recipe is:
minced onion
minced garlic cloves
marjoram
Cavaliers Greek Seasoning
Italian Bread crumbs
Oregano
Ground Beef, you can also use lean ground turkey, ground pork, or lamb.
Egg
Milk or half and half
For the gyro sandwiches:

This recipe is super easy to prepare! All you need to do is mix the ground beef in a large bowl with the breadcrumbs, egg, minced onion, garlic, milk, and seasonings. Mix everything well and form a loaf. Place the meatloaf into your slow cooker pot and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. Once the meatloaf is fully cooked, slice your meatloaf and build your gyros.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon marjoram
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon Cavender's greek seasoning
- 1 cup Italian Breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 shallot or small onion minced
Build your Gyro
- Pita Bread or Naan warmed
- tomatoes
- cucumbers
- lettuce
- kalamata olives
- tzatziki sauce
Instructions

In a large bowl, mix ground beef, oregano, marjoram, Cavender's Greek seasoning, breadcrumbs, egg, and milk.

Form a meatloaf and place it into your slow cooker.
