Orange Juice Cookie Bars

by Kristen

Have any leftover orange juice sitting around?  You must make these incredible orange juice cookie bars! These cookie bars are crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside.  Your kitchen will smell amazing when you add fresh orange zest to these cookies.  Adding orange juice to these cookie bars adds brightness!  Your family will love these cookies!

Earlier this year, I made these Orange Juice Cookies.  My seven-year-old kept always and continuously asking me to make more of those “orange juice cookies.”  I decided to turn my orange juice cookies into cookie bars, and they turned out so good!

These orange juice cookies are super moist, and the outside pieces have delightfully crispy edges.  These orange juice cookies are perfect for any time of the year!  They smelled absolutely amazing while I prepped them.  I love the smell of orange zest!

This cookie recipe only calls for 1/2 cup of sugar.  Since Orange juice is so sweet, you don’t need to add an overabundance of sugar to this dessert.

This recipe is super easy. Besides orange juice, this recipe calls for ingredients you probably already have in your pantry.

This recipe is so easy!  All you need is:

All-Purpose Flour

Salt

Baking soda

Baking powder

Sugar

Pure vanilla extract

1 Egg

Orange Juice

Orange Zest

Powdered Sugar to dust on top

You can make this dough ahead of time.

  • Refrigerate dough for up to two days.
  • Freeze dough in airtight freezer bags for up to two months.
  • You can also make the cookie balls ahead of time and freeze them from frozen.

These cookie bars are so good!  They’re really perfect for any time of the year.  Orange flavored desserts are perfect at Christmastime when citrus fruit is in season.  They also taste bright enough to be enjoyed during the summertime.
