This pepperoni pizza stuffed Hawaiian roll recipe is sure to please a crowd! It can be served as lunch, dinner, an appetizer, or a side dish alongside soup or salad.

Making pizza bread using Hawaiian rolls is the perfect combination of sweet and savory! This pizza bread is stuffed with pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, and marinara sauce and topped with a garlic butter mixture.

Using fluffy Hawaiian Rolls for your garlic pizza bread is a great idea! You will love how the hint of sweetness tastes with the garlic butter.

What makes Hawaiian rolls sweet?

The secret ingredient in fluffy, sweet Hawaiian rolls is pineapple juice! Hawaiian sweet rolls make a delicious French toast sandwich and can be used in other meals.

One thing my family has always done a little bit differently when it comes to pizza bread is using butter AND olive oil. There are two main reasons why this is a great idea!!

1. Flavor: Butter and Olive oil have two completely different flavors that complement each other and work well together when creating a base for garlic.

2. Texture: Butter and Olive oil have different melting points, which work together when creating texture for your garlic bread. Butter will melt into the bread to make the inside soft, while the olive oil will help create a crust outside the garlic bread.

Ingredients

One package of 12 Sweet Hawaiian Rolls

1/4 cup of melted butter

Three tablespoons olive oil

One teaspoon of minced garlic. You can also choose to use garlic powder or garlic salt.

One teaspoon of Italian Seasoning

One teaspoon of parsley

1 cup of pizza sauce

1.5 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup of pepperoni slices

Optional Ingredients:

You can add any of your favorite pizza toppings to yours. Peppers, parmesan cheese, turkey pepperoni, sausage,  provolone cheese, banana peppers, basil, oregano, ham, chicken, red pepper flakes, ground beef, olives, or onions would also taste great with this recipe. The possibilities are endless for this pull-apart rolls.

You can choose to omit the cup of marinara sauce and use it for dipping instead. You can turn the recipe into a pepperoni pizza sliders recipe instead, but I love the pizza toppings stuffed right into the bread!

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. I don’t recommend storing leftovers in the freezer.
