Air Fryer Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F for about 3-5 minutes.
- Whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined in a shallow dish or bowl. This mixture will coat the Hawaiian rolls.
- Cut a vertical and a horizontal line in each Hawaiian roll- this will allow the egg mixture to better seep into the Hawaiian roll.
- Dip each slice of Hawaiian roll into the egg mixture, ensuring that both sides are well-coated.
- Lightly grease the basket with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the coated Hawaiian roll slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each piece to allow for even cooking.
- Air-Fry the French Toast: Air-fry the Hawaiian roll French toast at 350°F for about 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time, until golden brown and crispy outside. If you don’t feel like the air fryer cooked the pieces evenly, you can turn the French toast upside down and cook longer.
- Once the French toast is cooked to your desired level of crispiness, remove it from the air fryer and serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Stovetop directions
1. Follow instructions 2-4, but instead of preheating your air fryer, heat a griddle over medium heat with some butter. Cook the French toast on all sides for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Garnish and serve.
