Air Fryer Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

These prosciutto-wrapped asparagus bundles are super flavorful and satisfying.  Cooked in the air fryer in just a few minutes, this is a delicious way to enjoy asparagus this season!

Total Time: 15 minutes.

After you realize how easy this prosciutto-wrapped asparagus is, you will want to make it all the time!  The Airfryer is ideal for cooking delicious appetizers and side dishes in just a few minutes.  A few easy ingredients are needed to make this air fryer prosciutto-wrapped asparagus.  This is the perfect spring appetizer to prepare for family and friends!

Ingredients

15 ounces of asparagus, about 1-2 bunches of asparagus  

12 ounces of prosciutto

Two tablespoons of olive oil or avocado oil

a dash of salt and black pepper.

Optional Ingredients-  You can garnish with parmesan cheese, lemon zest, fresh herbs, or garlic powder.

Equipment

Air Fryer

Parchment Paper or Aluminum Foil

Instructions

1. Wash asparagus and cut the woody ends off each asparagus spear.

2. Form the asparagus bundles.    Five asparagus if you are using thin asparagus and 2-3 if using thicker asparagus.

3. Wrap each asparagus bundle with 1-2 slices of prosciutto.

4. Sprinkle a small amount of salt and pepper over the bundles and drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the parts of the asparagus that are unwrapped.

5. Place in your air fryer basket

6. Air fry the asparagus for 5-7 mins or until the asparagus is slightly crispy and tender.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to five days. Reheat in the microwave.  You can also reheat them in the air fryer or bake them in the oven to achieve crispiness!

How to Trim Asparagus Stalks

1. Rinse Asparagus underwater

2. Trim the spears by cutting off the tough woody part of the vegetables.

Can I add additional seasonings to this recipe?

You can, but I would watch how much more salt you add.  Prosciutto already has a lot of flavor,  and adding too much seasoning can become too salty.
