Hash Brown Breakfast Sandwich

by Kristen

The Iowa Egg Council sponsors this post.  All opinions are entirely my own.

Have you seen the Hash Brown Breakfast sandwich trend on tiktok?  I love the store-bought hashbrowns that you can find in the freezer section at Trader Joe’s or Aldi.   These hash browns make the perfect gluten-free breakfast sandwich!  All you need to do is add an egg, cheese, tomato, ham, or any of your favorite breakfast sandwich ingredients to make this mouthwatering hash brown breakfast sandwich!   This makes the perfect breakfast for when you’re super hungry!

I always loved fast food and hash brown potatoes, but I rarely eat out at restaurants anymore.   When I saw a tiktok video of someone making a #hashbrownsandwich, I knew I needed to try it.  I added ham, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and eggs to my breakfast sandwich.  These sandwiches will be your new favorite breakfast!

This is the perfect sandwich to surprise mom with the morning of mothers day, and I am sure the whole family will want one!   With the cost of all groceries going up lately, we have been eating eggs as the main protein in meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner more often.

Eggs are the perfect protein for the entire family! The U.S. Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee recommends eggs as an essential first food for infants and toddlers and pregnant, and new moms.  Eggs are an excellent source and one of the most concentrated food sources of choline in the American diet. Choline is an essential nutrient critical for fetal brain development.  Serving mom eggs on Mother’s day will benefit the health of the whole family!

Because eggs are nutritiously beneficial for all of your family members in every stage of life, you should check out the Iowa Egg Council’s website for egg recipes to serve your family at all get-togethers during the “end of the school year” festivities this spring.  Whether you’re preparing a meal for a graduation party, mothers day, first communion, or having family over after a ball game, you will find egg recipes for every occasion!

I enjoy eating eggs, not only because they taste deliciously prepared in so many ways, but because they leave me feeling full longer.  Just one egg has only 70 calories and is a literal nutritional powerhouse!  My kids always look forward to “eggs for dinner”  or ” eggs for lunch,” and I know that I am preparing them a healthy meal that is also very budget-friendly!
