Today’s post is being sponsored by California Milk. Check out the awesome ways California Milk is helping hurricane victims!
My kids love those store bought drinkable yogurts. But whenever I buy them, they are literally gone in one day. I thought it would be fun to make our own drinkable yogurts, and get creative with the flavors.
But before I get too deep into drinkable yogurts, I want to talk about this amazing program that California Milk has has going on right now. Because #SealsForGood is such a great idea!
Right now, California Milk is helping victims from hurricane Harvey and Irma by donating $5.00 to the Great American Milk Drive every time someone snaps a photo on either Facebook or Instagram with the Real California Milk Logo. ( up to 20k). When you do this, please remember to do the following.
1. Tag @RealCaliforniaMilk on Facebook or Instagram
2. Use the hashtag #sealsforgood
3. There is no purchase necessary.
4. This great cause will last until 12/31/17
5. Remember that the Real California Milk Logo is on more than just milk. Look for it on butter, yogurt and cheeses as well.
I used Real California Milk Yogurt to make these DIY drinkable yogurts. The first year after I graduated college, I lived with my parents while I worked. This helped me transition into the Real World. My mom always kept a bunch of store bought drinkable yogurt smoothies in the fridge and I loved grabbing one for breakfast on my way to work.
My kids now love them too. But I don’t get them often, because they’re so expensive. I loved getting just a few big containers of plain yogurt and making my own drinkable yogurts I love this because people can make it the way they like it.
I created 5 different flavors and sweetened mine ever so slightly using maple syrup. You can sweeten yours with whatever you like, or just let the fruit sweeten your yogurt. I made my drinkable yogurts using mason jars. You can get jar lids that fit a straw, like in the photo below, or just untwist the lid and have at it.
I made 5 of our favorite flavors. You can literally make any flavor you like. Below are my recipes
Strawberry Drinkable Yogurt – Makes 2-3 servings
1 cup of plain yogurt
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon maple syrup, honey or sugar
5 strawberries
Peach Drinkable Yogurt Makes 2-3 servings

1/2 cup of milk
1/2 of a peach or more
1/2 pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon sweetener
Pineapple Drinkable Yogurt Makes 2-3 servings
1 cup of plain yogurt
1/2 cup of milk
1/3 cup of pineapple

1/2 cup of milk
juice from 1 key limes or 1 regular sized lime

Apple Drinkable Yogurt ( makes 2-3 servings)

Method: For each flavor, place the ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth. Store in a mason jar or other container. Keep in the fridge until you are ready to enjoy them.
I love these drinkable yogurts and so do my kids! They got so excited this weekend, when I was in the kitchen making these for our week! If you’re looking to create more flavors, think of your favorite smoothie- and go from there! The possibilities are endless!
