Instant Pot Caesar Chicken Sandwiches are always a hit in my house! This recipe is super easy to whip up and only calls for a few easy ingredients. This three-ingredient shredded chicken recipe also makes for various delicious round-two meals!
Crock Pot Caesar Sandwiches were introduced to me by a friend several years ago, and now chicken caesar sandwiches are a meal we often whip up on a weeknight. This easy recipe only calls for a few ingredients and is not only super fast to make, but it tastes much better and is healthier than other “fast” dinner options.
One thing I love about my Instant Pot is that you can make falling-apart shredded chicken in minutes, but it will taste like it has been cooking in a slow cooker all day. All you need for this super easy dinner recipe is a few ingredients and 30 minutes. After you try this recipe, these Instant Pot Chicken Caesar Sandwiches will become a part of your regular dinner rotation.
Ingredients Needed
1 1/2 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breasts. The chicken can be fresh or frozen
1 cup of water or chicken broth
2 cups of prepared Caesar dressing- I recommend using creamy Caesar dressing
1 cup of shredded OR grated parmesan cheese
Ingredients for building your sandwich
buns or tortillas, wraps, ciabatta bread, or toast.
Romaine lettuce
Tomato Slice
Onion
extra Caesar dressing if you like, or parsley for a bit of color. You can also add black pepper. If you like garlic flavor, you may want to add extra garlic or garlic powder.
And that’s it!
Your friends and family will enjoy this super easy sandwich recipe!
Do I need to change the recipe if I am using frozen chicken?
You do not have to change the recipe if you use frozen chicken. Frozen chicken breasts can cook at the same cook time. You might have some extra liquid with firm chicken breasts but not enough to change the recipe.
Can I make this recipe using chicken thighs?
Yes! The cook time will stay the same, but please use boneless thighs!
Prep time for this recipe is minimal. All you need to do is place chicken, water, and Caesar dressing in your Instant Pot and walk away while it cooks. You will later shred the chicken and add the parmesan cheese to the chicken mixture.
Instructions
1. In your Instant Pot’s inner pot, combine chicken, Caesar salad dressing, and water.
2. Secure the Instant Pot lid and rotate the pressure release valve to “sealing.”
3. Cook on high pressure for 15 minutes, then quickly release the pressure and remove the lid.
4. Shred the chicken. You can shred it using an electric hand mixer, kitchen shears, or two forks. You may want to shred the chicken on a cutting board or in a bowl.
5. Place the chicken back into the inner pot. You may want to discard or drain extra liquid still in your pot.
6. Mix in parmesan cheese while the chicken is still piping hot.
This recipe also makes delicious chicken caesar wraps. I recommend adding more romaine lettuce if you are making wraps.
I love the flavor of this. This chicken cooks up super fast! This is a great dish to make for “something different” to serve at parties, and it is always a crowd-pleaser!

Easy and tasty. Beautiful pictures. Thanks
Excited to make this great recipe, but wondering how many sandwiches this would make? Serving a big crowd and not sure what amount of ingredients to buy. Thanks!
If you are feeding a crowd, I would double the recipe.
