Cook time: 6 hours on low

Your family will love this easy, slow-cooker turkey meatloaf.  The parmesan cheese is the perfect ingredient to mix in your meatloaf mixture,  and I have spent years perfecting the meatloaf glaze on top of this loaf.  This recipe is slightly different from a traditional meatloaf recipe, but I promise you won’t be disappointed!

I have spent years adjusting my meatloaf recipe to make it perfect. However, this recipe with ground turkey  Ground Chicken or ground beef also works well with this formula.   In my opinion, the secret ingredient is parmesan cheese and the glaze.  I have spent years trying to get the perfect meatloaf glaze.   It is irresistible!

Ingredients

1 pound of ground turkey- per meatloaf

1 cup of Italian breadcrumbs

1/2 cup of parmesan cheese

Two teaspoons of minced garlic

One egg

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup of dried onion OR 1/3 chopped fresh onion

Glaze Ingredients

3/4 cup of ketchup

1/4 cup brown sugar

2-3 tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce.

Although meatloaf can be made in the oven or the Instant Pot, I think the slow cooker is the best way to cook one. Cooking meatloaf in the slow cooker doesn’t heat the house during hot weather. It cooks up mouthwatering tender, and it is a comforting meal to make ahead of time for busy nights.

Can I bake this meatloaf in the oven?

Yes! You will want to bake the meatloaf in the oven for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Will this recipe turn out if you use leftover turkey from Thanksgiving and grind it up yourself?

I would use ground turkey. I wouldn’t use leftover turkey for this.
