These mouthwatering chicken alfredo stuffed Hawaiian Rolls make an easy lunch, dinner, appetizer, or late-night snack! You only need a few ingredients and about 15 minutes to whip these up!
I have been sharing many Hawaiian Roll recipes lately; I got inspired after I saw a breakfast-stuffed Hawaiian roll recipe somewhere on Pinterest. I have always loved Hawaiian rolls; they taste amazing and have sweet or savory ingredients. These Chicken Alfredo Stuffed Hawaiian Rolls knocked my family’s socks off! I will most definitely be adding this recipe to my monthly dinner rotation!
My kids came home from school asking me to make chicken alfredo pasta after they had it in the cafeteria at school. It is now one of their favorite pasta dishes!
Ingredients
One package of 12 Hawaiian Rolls
1 Jar of your favorite Alfredo Sauce– you can also make your own
2 cups of shredded chicken breast or rotisserie chicken
1 cup of parmesan cheese
One tablespoon of olive oil or butter
One tablespoon of dried parsley– or fresh
* If you are using jarred Alfredo sauce, I highly recommend adding one teaspoon of minced garlic
Optional Ingredients– Mozzarella Cheese, Ricotta Cheese or Italian seasoning
* Recipe note*– this recipe can also work with other buns or French bread types. I encourage you to make this your own!
Alfredo Sauce
One heaping teaspoon of minced garlic
One tablespoon of flour
Four tablespoons of butter
One cup of whole milk. You can also choose to use heavy cream
One teaspoon of salt
One teaspoon of black pepper
Alfredo Sauce Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add garlic and flour and mix it with the butter.
- Pour in the milk and bring the mixture to a simmer. Allow it to simmer for a couple of minutes, stirring continuously. The mixture should thicken.
- Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly to ensure it melts smoothly into the sauce. Continue to cook and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Season the Alfredo sauce with salt and pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Once the sauce has reached your desired consistency, remove it from the heat.
