Um Hi…..

So here I am after a whole week of not posting anything!   And what fun new recipe do I have for you?  Oh.  just another Banana Ice Cream Recipe.

But you see. this week was filled with ear infections, visiting family from out-of-town AND I will admit it, a few failed recipes that I will never share with you.  ( unless I end up dong a recipe-fail post one day.)

I have made this Blueberry soft serve several times at home over the past year.  I have just never made it when I was available to take a photo!  This blueberry banana soft serve is actually my favorite banana ice cream recipe, so it’s funny that I have never posted this before.

I love adding vanilla to my Banana Ice Cream Recipes.  Vanilla is the magic ingredient, if you want to turn boring banana ice cream into something amazing!  I purchased this package of raw ground vanilla beans from amazon.  These raw vanilla beans added so much flavor to this recipe!

Blueberry-Vanilla Bean Banana Soft Serve
Prep time:
Cook time:
Total time:
Serves: 3
Ingredients
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 1/2 cups of frozen blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon ground vanilla beans
  • 1/3 cup of milk ( any milk of your choice will do)
Instructions
  1. In your blender. mix all of the ingredients until you get a ice cream-like texture. If you add too much milk, you might get more of a milkshake texture. You can add more frozen fruit to get it back to a ice cream texture. or you can grab a straw, because this also makes a delicious milkshake

I made this for an afternoon snack for my kiddos.  My three-year old literally licked this bowl clean.  It was super funny, I wish I would have taken a picture.  My 15 month old had it all over his face.  I will, for sure, be making this again.  My three-year old has also requested a strawberry ice cream.

This sounds completely delish! The mixture of blueberry and banana is one that I’ve never tried. Maybe I should change that 😉

Looks delicious! I have tried banana-strawberry and banana-raspberry soft serves, but have to try out the blueberry version too! I had no idea about ground vanilla beans. Have to check them out!

This dessert looks great. A nice sweet treat but not too indulgent. Can’t wait until it is warm enough to eat outside!
