Instant Pot Italian Dressing Pork Chops

Bottled Italian Salad dressing might be the easiest and most delicious marinade for almost any cut of meat. This easy Instant Pot pork chop recipe requires only a few ingredients.   This is a nutritious dinner with a cooking time of 15 minutes in your Instant Pot and 30 minutes, including prep time—no need to go to the store for unique ingredients. I encourage you to add the vegetables you have on hand to this meal!

Your family will love this one-pot pork chop dinner recipe.   Instant Pot Pork Chops turn out amazing every time. Combining everything in one pot will save you dishes and liberate you from your kitchen while your dinner cooks itself! I find that root vegetables like potatoes and carrots cook well in the Instant Pot along with the meat. These pork chops will turn out tender and perfectly seasoned!

If you don’t have a pressure cooker, you can adapt this recipe for your crockpot or cook all of these things together on a sheet pan.

Equipment

Instant Pot 

Trivet that comes with your Instant Pot or a mesh vegetable steamer 

Ingredients

Only a few ingredients are needed for this Italian Pork Chops Recipe.

Boneless pork chops or bone-in Pork Chops: salt and black pepper to lightly season your pork chops

1 Cup of bottled Italian salad dressing

An assortment of root vegetables: potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, etc., to cook with the pressure cooker pork chops as the side dish.

Green Beans

1/2 of water or chicken broth

Optional Ingredients: if you want to add more flavor, you can add onions, Italian seasoning, or garlic powder. Add as much as fits your taste. If you like spice, I suggest adding a little cayenne pepper.

Instructions 

  1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. Add Italian dressing, water, and pork chops into the inner pot of your Instant Pot.
  3. Add the Instant Pot trivet or a mesh vegetable steamer over the pork chops. Add your vegetables on top.
  4. Secure and lock the Instant Pot Lid. Set the pressure release valve to ” sealing.”  Set the timer on your Instant Pot. Pressure cook on manual high pressure for 8 minutes if cooking thin boneless pork chops or 15 minutes if you cook bone-in or pork chops more than one inch thick.
  5. Quick-release the pressure.
  6. Remove the vegetables from your instant pot and place them in a bowl.
  7. Select the saute mode. Brown the pork chops in the sauce to make the outside of the chops slightly crispy. You can choose to add a teaspoon of cornstarch to the remaining liquid to make a gravy. Pour sauce over the pork chops and serve.

If you want to make this meal in a slow cooker, add the pork chops and Italian dressing to the bottom of your slow cooker with the vegetables on top. Cook the meal on low for 4-6 hours—Seer the Pork chops before eating.

This meal is filled with protein, and the carbohydrates are whole 30 approved.   You can choose to use low-sodium Italian dressing if you like.

Storage

You can store these pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days or keep them in your freezer for up to 3 months.

  • 2 cups sliced potatoes washed
  • 1-2 cups carrots
  • 1 cup green beans

  2. Add Italian dressing, water, and pork chops into the inner pot of your Instant Pot.

  3. Add the Instant Pot trivet or a mesh vegetable steamer over the pork chops. Add your vegetables on top.
