My kids love those store-bought drinkable yogurts. But whenever I buy them, they are gone in one day. I thought it would be fun to make our drinkable yogurts and get creative with the flavors.
The first year after I graduated from college, I lived with my parents while I worked. This helped me transition into the Real World. My mom always kept a bunch of store-bought drinkable yogurt smoothies in the fridge, and I loved grabbing one for breakfast on my way to work.
My kids now love them too. But I don’t get them often, because they’re so expensive. I loved getting just a few big containers of plain yogurt and making my drinkable yogurts I love this because people can make it the way they like it.
I created five different flavors and sweetened mine ever so slightly using maple syrup. You can sweeten yours with whatever you like, or just let the fruit sweeten your yogurt. I made my drinkable yogurts using mason jars. You can get jar lids that fit a straw, like in the photo below, or untwist the cap and have at it.
I made 5 of our favorite flavors. You can make any flavor you like. Below are my recipes
Strawberry Drinkable Yogurt – Makes 2-3 servings
1 cup of plain yogurt
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
One tablespoon maple syrup, honey or sugar
Five strawberries
Peach Drinkable Yogurt Makes 2-3 servings
1 cup of plain yogurt
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 of a peach or more
1/2 pure vanilla extract
One tablespoon sweetener
Pineapple Drinkable Yogurt Makes 2-3 servings
1 cup of plain yogurt
1/2 cup of milk
1/3 cup of pineapple
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
One tablespoon sweetener
Key-Lime Drinkable Yogurt Makes 2-3 servings
1 cup of plain yogurt
1/2 cup of milk
juice from 1 key lime or one regular-sized lime
1/2 cup of spinach ( for color and added nutrition)
One tablespoon sweetener
Apple Drinkable Yogurt ( makes 2-3 servings)
1 cup of plain yogurt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
One tablespoon sweetener
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Method: For each flavor, place the ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth. Store in a mason jar or other container. Keep in the fridge until you are ready to enjoy them.
I love these drinkable yogurts and so do my kids! They got so excited this weekend when I was in the kitchen making these for our week! If you’re looking to create more flavors, think of your favorite smoothie- and go from there! The possibilities are endless!

I am so excited to make these drinks as part of meal prep, something like this is is exactly what I have been looking for! I was wondering if you think I could add protein or collagen powder to these possibly?? It would be an yummy way to get in my supplements instead of just mixing them with water.
Thanks! 🙂
How long do they stay good in the fridge?
