I don’t like stopping at fast-food restaurants so much. Usually, I find that the food contains a lot of calories for just a little satisfaction. When my family is traveling, we might stop at a fast-food restaurant. I usually try to get something healthier, like a salad or a grilled chicken sandwich. But then, I typically end up with a piece of chicken that tastes just like sodium.
One exception for me is Culvers. I love the grilled chicken sandwiches at Culver’s, and I love their salads. A lot.
But when I am home in Cedar Falls. Do I need to pay $6.00 for one salad? Instead, I can buy the ingredients, and make several Strawberry Fields salads!
You can use any chicken you have around on this salad. I have been into keeping rotisserie chickens in the fridge for salads and sandwiches. You can also grill some chicken breasts and keep them in the refrigerator.
I love keeping fancy salad toppings around. I find that adding fruit, nuts, and cheese to a salad makes a salad into a meal. I love this salad. I have been really into making salads out of Romain lettuce lately. I like how Romain lettuce has a nice crunch to it.
I almost always choose the honey-mustard salad dressing when I order salads at Culvers. I will include my recipe for my homemade honey-mustard too. If you don’t like honey-mustard, this salad would also taste fantastic with poppyseed dressing.
