Whole Foods Broccoli Crunch Salad

by Kristen

If you love the Whole Foods broccoli crunch salad from the salad bar, this easy copycat broccoli salad recipe delivers the same fresh flavors at home with simple pantry ingredients.

One of my favorite things when I visit Whole Foods Markets is heading straight to the salad bar for their famous broccoli crunch salad. There is just something about that combination of textures and flavors that makes it impossible to resist. It is creamy, slightly sweet, and a little savory from the bacon, and every bite is packed with crunch, making each forkful satisfying. I’m always drawn to recreating Whole Foods Market dishes since they strike the perfect balance between fresh and comforting.

Ingredients

Chopped Broccoli

Red Onion

Cooked Bacon- Cut into pieces

Sunflower seeds

Dried Cranberries

Broccoli Salad Dressing

Mayonnaise

Apple Cider Vinegar

Granulated Sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare your vegetable base. Finely chop the broccoli into small, bite-sized pieces. The texture of the whole salad depends on this step, so it’s worth a minute to cut everything evenly.
  2. Cook the Bacon until crisp, then crumble it into small pieces. Add the chopped broccoli, bacon, cranberries, red onion, and crunchy sunflower seeds into a big bowl.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the dressing ingredients. Combine the mayonnaise, sugar, apple cider vinegar,  and salt and black pepper if using.   Stir well until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad. Gently toss everything together until all the ingredients are evenly coated. Take a moment to taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Let the salad marinate in the fridge for 1-2 hours before serving.

Storage instructions

Store this crunchy broccoli salad in an airtight container in the fridge. It keeps well for several days, making it perfect for meal prep, quick lunches, or an easy side dish. The flavors continue to develop as it chills.
