This Creamy Pineapple Jello Salad will remind you of the Dole Whip you can get at Disney! It’s packed with crushed pineapple and the perfect dessert “salad” for your next potluck!
Crushed Pineapple is one of my favorite ingredients for baked goods, but I wanted to try it in a jello salad. I had to play around with the ingredients for this recipe, but I finally came up with a creamy pineapple jello salad that I love! You will love the flavors in this easy side dish, and your family will love it at your next holiday gathering!
Creamy Dole Whip Jello Salad
Ingredients
One large (6 oz) box of pineapple-flavored Jello is required, or two 3 oz containers can be used.
1 cup boiling water
One cup of cold evaporated milk. You want to chill it in the fridge for an hour before using it.
One cup of chilled crushed pineapple drained. Chill in the fridge for an hour before using.
Optional Ingredients: You can substitute the leftover pineapple juice for water. You can also add a teaspoon of vanilla extract for extra flavor. You can choose to add a little lemon juice for additional flavor. You can also sub full-fat coconut milk to make a pina colada jello salad for summer cookouts.
Equipment:
Large Glass Bowl. You can also cut the jello into squares with a glass casserole dish. You can cover your dish with saran wrap, but if your bowl or casserole dish has a lid, that will work best!
Mold or serving plate if you want to make this with a mold.
Instructions
- Combine the pineapple-flavored Jello powder in a mixing bowl with 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until the Jello powder is completely dissolved.
- Pour in 1 cup of chilled evaporated milk, stirring slowly to blend until creamy. (Using cold evaporated milk helps the mixture set up better when chilled.)
- Gently fold in the drained, cold, crushed pineapple. Make sure it’s distributed evenly throughout the Jello mixture.
- Chill and Set: Pour the mixture into a glass bowl or glass casserole dish. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until the Jello is fully set and firm to the touch.
- You can distribute it using a serving spoon or cut it into squares if you use a casserole dish. Top with whipped cream and cherries, and serve! This jello should hold up well in the mold while being creamy and deliciously tropical. Enjoy!

This recipe differs from jello fluff salads, which contain cool whip or whipped cream. This jello salad can be made in a mold and is in the refrigerator.
This classic Pineapple jello salad is the perfect no-bake dessert to bring to Christmas, Thanksgiving, or Summer cookouts. The whole family will enjoy this party favorite, as the jello and crushed pineapple give it so much pineapple flavor.
