Reese’s Pieces Chocolate Blossom Cookies

If you like Reese’s Pieces, you will love this chocolate cookie recipe!  These are bite-sized cookies that bake in just a few minutes!  Chocolate and Peanut Butter make the perfect pair! If you like chocolate peanut butter cookies, you need to try these!  If you have leftover Reese’s Pieces from Halloween, Easter, or any other celebration, you MUST make these reese’s pieces cookies!  

I enjoy treating my family to homemade cookies! My family loves peanut butter blossom cookies, and I decided to switch them up by making the cookie part chocolate and subbing the chocolate kiss with Reese’s pieces!  This chocolate-peanut butter combo is unstoppable and should appear at your next holiday or party!

Why do we love these chocolate reese’s pieces cookies the dough comes together easily and quickly.  They are super chocolatey and bite-sized for when you’re looking for just a spot of dessert.  Reese’s pieces add the perfect bit of peanut butter.

Ingredients 

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/3 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips

One teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

One egg

1 cup of brown sugar

2 cups of all-purpose flour

1/3 cup of cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

One teaspoon of baking powder

1/4 cup of Reese’s Pieces Candies

Equipment Needed

Baking Sheet

Parchment paper or cooking spray

Large bowl

Hand mixer or stand mixer

cookie scoop

cooling rack

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees f
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. Add chocolate chips and butter into a microwave-safe bowl—microwave in 2 30-second increments, stirring between each increment.
  4. Stir chocolate chips and butter until the chocolate is completely melted in the butter.  Add brown sugar, vanilla extract, and the egg and stir until smooth.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients mixture and form the cookie dough.
  7. form 3/4 inch cookie dough balls and arrange them on your cookie sheet.
  8. Place one Reese’s Piece into the center of each chocolate cookie.

Storage

These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to five days.  You can store them in the freezer for up to three months.
