Before I start on my spiel, I want to direct you to a Community Meatless Dinner Pinterest Board. You can find more meatless dinner ideas there.
Without sounds too much like a ” Starbucks Liberal.” Let’s talk about why I choose to feed my family meatless dinners a few times a week.
- It helps humankind. Did you know that our world has a growing population? The population of the earth is supposed to reach 9.1 billion people by 2050. That is a lot of people to feed. It takes us much less energy to produce vegetables than meat. We can supply more people with vegetables.
- It is healthy! I am not going to sit around and tell you not to eat meat. I eat meat. I eat meat more than once a week. But adding more vegetables, nuts, seeds, and healthy grains is just right for you.
- It will help you raise adventurous eaters. Introducing your kids to ingredients like grains, beans, nuts, seeds, and various vegetables early, will help them to make better choices when they get older.
I am not trying to tell anyone what to do. I think, though, that all these meatless dinners look and sound wonderful.
I know it is sometimes hard to get kids thinking away from Chicken Nuggets and Pizza. But I promise you that your kids will eat all of these fantastic meatless dinner ideas!
