I am so lucky to live in the Driftless area. There are so many breathtaking outdoor adventures to be had, and Galena, Illinois, the most charming town in the Midwest just about 30 minutes from my home. ( in Dubuque) Galena is just a 3-hour drive from Chicago and a 1.5-hour drive from Madison, Wi.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa’s new Stonedrift Spa as a guest and attend the ribbon-cutting party. Boy, I did feel like a guest and returned feeling relaxed and eager to visit again soon.
Stonedrift Spa is a full-service spa with a salon and a barber shop in the same building. There are a variety of massages, therapies, and facials available. You can also lounge in the relaxation room while waiting for your appointment to start.

The very tranquil Stonedrift Spa was the ultimate mom’s getaway. Still, it would also make a terrific romantic getaway. It is located in the Galena territories, near the Eagle Ridge Resort.

I recommend you check in early before your spa appointment and check out late. Enjoy the relaxation room with super comfortable lounge chairs, a fireplace, a steam room, and a hot tub.
What are other activities to enjoy while at Eagle Ridge?
Eagle Ridge is known for its wedding venues, meeting rooms, and woodland restaurant.
There is so much to do in Galena and the Galena territories. Families can hit local trails for cross-country skiing, walking, sledding, or snowshoeing during the winter. During the summer, you can visit hiking trails with your kids, play on the playground, do a round of mini golf, check out the hot air balloon rides, or hit the golf course and pro shop.

In my opinion, these finishing touches made the spa feel super comfortable and inviting.
Comfortable amenities are provided in the locker room.
No need to bring a hair dryer, showering supplies, towels, or robes to the spa with you. The locker room was so comfortable. It had a steam room, fantastic shower stalls, and everything you need to leisurely ” get ready” after your spa appointment ended.

It was the perfect finishing touch to a replenishing day.
A hotel stay at Eagle Ridge
There is no need to rush back home after your spa treatment! Rooms at Eagle Ridge Resort are comfortable and all unique.
