I LOVE banana ice cream! I have posted so many banana ice cream recipes on this blog, but it has been a LOOONG time! I came up with yummy Rocky Road banana ice cream and it is good! I added marshmallows, a few chocolate chips and almonds to this banana ice cream.
This banana ice cream is made in the blender. There is no ice cream churn needed! If you are interested in my other banana ice cream recipes on this blog, then check out my 13 Banana Ice Cream Recipes!
I always keep frozen bananas in the freezer for a quick-healthier treat. My kids also look forward to making banana ice cream. It’s a snack we all love and feel good about. I smash my bananas into a plastic bag and freeze them that way. I just fold the plastic bag in order to get the bananas out.
I added marshmallows to the blender- but also folded some into the banana ice cream mixture as well.
Rocky Road Banana Ice Cream ( serves 2-3)
Ingredients
2 frozen bananas
1/4 cup of cocoa- or more depending on how much you like chocolate
1 tablespoon of chocolate chips
1 tablespoon of almonds or peanuts
1/3 cup of marshmallows.
Method: In your blender, add all the ingredients, but only 1/2 the marshmallows. blend everything together until you get a ice cream like texture. If you have having trouble getting everything to blend, add a tablespoon of milk. Once the ice cream has been blended- fold in the rest of the marshmallows and enjoy!
