https://makethebestofeverything.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=21964&action=edit

Servings 15 cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter browned
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Brown the Butter: In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt even slices of butter until it is brown and smells nutty. Let the butter cool for 10 minutes before proceeding further.

  2. Add brown sugar, honey, vanilla, and egg. Whisk ingredients together.

  3. In a separate bowl, add flour, baking soda, and salt.

  4. Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until combined, but don't overmix.

  5. Fold in chocolate chips.

  6. Cover and chill the dough in the fridge for 30-60 minutes. This will help the cookies keep their shape and increase their chewiness.

  7. Preheat oven to 350. Use a cookie scoop to make 1-inch cookie dough balls, and drop them onto a prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown on the outside.

  8. Remove cookies from the oven. Transfer to a cooling rack and let them cool slightly before serving.
