Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp aquafaba
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. Cream butter and sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat ½ cups softened butter, ½ cups sugar, and ¼ cups brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  3.  Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla and the aquafaba.

  4. Whisk together 1.25 cups flour½ teaspoon baking soda, and ½ teaspoon salt in a separate bowl.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients and wet ingredients, stirring until combined.

  6. Fold chocolate chips into the mixture: Gently mix in 1 cup of chocolate chips.

  7. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
