Chop onion and add it to the inner pot of your instant pot.
Add Barbecue sauce, water, and chicken drumsticks.
Close and secure lid. Switch the pressure release valve to "sealing"
Cook on high pressure for 35 minutes.
Quick Pressure Release
Open Lid. Remove chicken drumsticks. Arrange in a serving bowl.
Set your instant pot to saute. Add honey and cornstarch and whisk until barbecue sauce thickens.
One the barbecue sauce has thickened, drizzle it over the chicken drumsticks. Serve.
