Cookies and Cream Cut Out Cookies

I took my no-fail cut-out cookie recipe and loaded it with Oreo cookies! If you and your family love cookie decorating,  try these fantastic cookies-and-cream cut-out cookies!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cups butter softened
  • 1 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup crushed oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, sugar, vanilla, and eggs in a mixing bowl.

  2. Whisk the flour mixture: flour, baking powder, and salt in a second bowl.

  3. Add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture until a cookie dough is formed.

  4. Fold in crushed Oreo cookie crumbs. You can crush the Oreo Cookies with a rolling pin or food processor.

  5. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight. Chilling the dough will help make the cookies chewy and prevent them from spreading too much.

  6. When it is time to bake cookies, preheat the oven to 400 f and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  7. On a cutting board, dusted with flour, roll the cookie dough into 1/2 sheets. Dust flour onto the dough if it is sticky. Cut cookie shapes and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.  Make sure that the cookies are at least 1 inch apart.

  8. Bake cookies for 8 minutes. They will still look light when you remove them from the oven.
