Shrimp Po Boy Sandwiches

This semi-homemade shrimp po boy rice bowl is an easy dinner to whip up. It tastes like the famous New Orleans sandwich and is topped with homemade remoulade sauce.  

Ingredients

  • 6 Butterfly shrimp- per bowl
  • 3/4 cup cooked rice- per bowl
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage- per bowl
  • 2-3 tablespoon Remoulade Sauce- Per bowl

Remoulade Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp relish or chopped pickles
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to the package instructions and set aside.

  2. Cook Shrimp according to the package and set aside. Prep vegetables.

  3. Assemble the rice bowls by dividing the cooked rice among serving bowls. Top the rice with the vegetables and cooked shrimp.

  4. Drizzle remoulade sauce over the shrimp and vegetables. You can use as much or as little as you like, depending on your preference.

  5. Garnish the rice bowls with optional toppings such as chopped green onions, sliced avocado, or diced pickles.

  6. Serve the po'boy shrimp rice bowls immediately and enjoy!
