Red Hot Cookie Bars

Red Hot Cookie Bars are gooey and baked with white chocolate chips and red cinnamon hots!   These sugar cookie bars are the perfect thing to help you celebrate valentine's holiday with your family, but they can be enjoyed during the Christmas season and all year round!  

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup Red Hot Candies or more if you like

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

  2. Line a 9 X 13 pan with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray.

  3. In a large bowl, stir the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Add wet ingredients into the flour mixture. Eggs softened butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.

  5. Mix with your mixer at medium speed to cream butter, and everything gets mixed.

  6. Place batter in baking pan. Make sure you scrape the sides of the bowl to get all the batter out.

  7. Arrange as many red hots as you would like on the cookie bars

  8. Bake for 20-23 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

  9. Let these cookie bars COOL COMPLETELY before cutting them into squares to serve.
