Buttermilk Pancake Banana Bread

This easy banana bread recipe tastes like a stack of your favorite buttermilk pancakes!  

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups mashed ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit.

  2. In a medium bowl, mash bananas with a spoon or fork.

  3. Mix wet ingredients—softened butter, sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, buttermilk,  and eggs. Mix well.

  4. In a separate bowl, Stir flour, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix well.

  6. Pour the batter into a greased 8X5 loaf pan.

  7. Bake in the oven for 50 minutes.  You will know it is done when a toothpick comes out clean.

  8. Remove from the oven and let the bread cool completely before removing it from the pan.

  9. Slice and serve.
