Instant Pot Ground Beef French Dip Sandwiches

This Instant Pot Ground Beef French Dip Sandwich recipe takes less than 30 minutes from start to finish and has the most delicious au jus that cooks right along with it!

Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion peeled and sliced
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf

Sandwich Ingredients

  • French Bread
  • Provolone Cheese

Instructions

  1. Set your Instant Pot to saute.  Add butter, onions, and garlic. Sear until onions are translucent.

  2. Add ground beef and brown, but don't worry about cooking it all through.

  3. Press "Cancel" to stop the cooking.

  4. Add oregano, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaf, and beef broth.  

  5. Place the lid on to your instant pot and lock it.  Rotate the pressure release valve to "sealing."

  6. Cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.

  7. Release Steam

  8.  Using a Ladle, remove the juice from the Instant Pot for the aus jus.

  9. saute the Cooked ground beef until the remaining liquid thickens.

  10. Build your sandwiches and serve.
