Strawberry Pop Tart Sweet Rolls

These semi-homemade sweet rolls taste exactly like a Strawberry pop tart!  You only need a few easy store-bought ingredients and 30 minutes to make this deliciously sweet dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 8 ounce crescent roll sheet or crescent rolls with triangles cut out
  • 1/3 cup strawberry preserves

Glaze

  • 1.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees f

  2. 2. Pop open crescent dough , unroll it, and lay it out onto your work surface.  You can choose to use a rolling pin to roll it out a bit further.

  3. 3. Spread strawberry jam evenly onto one side of the crescent roll dough.

  4. 4. Roll the crescent roll into one long roll and cut into small rolls with a sharp knife. make sure to seal each roll.  Do the same with the second piece of dough.   Arrange the dough rolls into a 12X12  lined baking pan or casserole dish.

  5. 5. Bake the rolls in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown.

  6. 6. Meanwhile, prepare the frosting.  In a mixing bowl stir together powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, butter, and corn syrup with a spoon.  mix until you get a glaze.  set aside.

  7. 7. When the rolls are done baking, take them out of the oven and let them cook slightly for 5 minutes.  You may choose to spread more jam on top of them for more strawberry flavor.  If you do this, then add the jam while the rolls are still hot. 

  8. 8. Drizzle pop tart glaze on top of the rolls and add sprinkles.

  9. 9. Serve.
