I am a massive fan of giving gift cards as gifts for birthdays, Christmas, graduation, mothers Day, fathers Day, and other occasions, such as teacher appreciation days at my kids’ school. If you want to make gifting a gift card more personable, here are some gift card presentation ideas for you!
What are some excellent reasons gift cards make great gifts?
1. If you’re not sure what physical items to gift someone, they can purchase what they want.
2. Giving gift cards cuts down on waste. Your friends and family will no longer have unused gifts lying around their house.
3. If your recipient is saving up for something, giving a gift card can help them save up for something significant.
4. Gift cards can be more personable than cash or money gifts using dollar bills.
Who do you buy gift cards for?
Teens and young adults– Once kids get to a certain age, they like to pick something out themselves or have money for restaurants so they can hang out with their friends.
Teachers– I am a HUGE proponent of giving teachers gift cards. (Try finding your child’s teacher’s favorite restaurant if possible.) Gift cards make the best teacher gift!
Older adults- if your grandparents have a favorite hotel, restaurant, or performance venue, consider getting them a gift card to one of those places or even an Amazon gift card.
Any other family member who is hard to buy for. Don’t think of it as giving boring gift cards, but as something they will actually use.
New Parents– Parents are more in tune with what size their little ones wear and can use gift cards to buy the needed items like diapers or toys.
