If you’re looking for a new Valentine-Inspired recipe to bake, then you’re in the right place! These Red Hot Cookie Bars are gooey and baked with white chocolate chips and red cinnamon hots!   These sugar cookie bars are the perfect thing to help you celebrate valentine’s holiday with your family, but they can be enjoyed during the Christmas season and all year round!

Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays! I love seeing the cute valentine and treat ideas that the interwebs come up with every year! These White Chocolate Chip and Red Hots Cookie Bars are mouthwatering and easy to make.   All you need to do is create an easy cookie bar dough, bake them and wait until they cool to room temperature before cutting them and eating them.

Red hots candy can be found with Valentine’s Day candy at the store. You can also find it with the “movie theater” candy boxes.

Ingredients

all-purpose flour

baking soda

salt

butter

brown sugar

egg

One teaspoon pure vanilla extract

white chocolate chips

Red hot cinnamon candies

Optional Ingredients: You can frost these with your favorite cream cheese frosting or buttercream frosting if you like. Powdered sugar or sprinkles would also make pretty garnishes.   These cookie bars would taste delicious alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream on Valentine’s Day!

Your house is going to smell amazing when you take these cookie bars out of the oven! These are super easy to make, especially if you have a stand mixer.

Instructions:

  1. Line a 9 X 13 pan with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, stir the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add wet ingredients into the flour mixture. Eggs softened butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix with your mixer at medium speed to cream butter, and everything gets mixed.
  5. Place batter in baking pan. Make sure you scrape the sides of the bowl to get all the batter out.
  6. Arrange as many red hots as you would like on the cookie bars
  7. Bake for 20-23 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let these cookie bars COOL COMPLETELY before cutting them into squares to serve.

Storage

You can store these in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. You can also freeze these in your freezer in an airtight container for up to three months.
