I always have so much fun baking with my kids.   I like to set-aside time every holiday season to bake with my kids at least a few times.   We always have a great time bonding over baking.   It is such a great time.

Yes, my older boys- ages 5 and 3 are a joy to bake with.   Even when we end up with a mess!   We always end up with ingredients all over the place!

The worst place to clean-up- after I bake with my sons are the chairs that they sit on at our counter.  Food gets caked on those chairs like no other!

I have started using Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloths to scrub their chairs after we bake and after they eat.  I find that these textured Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloths are perfect for scrubbing down the chairs in my dining room.  My kids get food caked on those chairs, and I love using these Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloths to clean everything up.  Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloths a new product, and are a textured cloth that makes cleaning-up super easy!

Last week my boys and I made these salted chocolate shortbread cookies.   They turned out really good- even though they got sprinkles and flour everywhere.

Salted Chocolate Shortbread

Ingredients

2 sticks of butter

1 1/2 cups of flour

1/2 cup of cocoa

1/2 cup of sugar

1/4 cup of melted dark chocolate- I used a 73% dark chocolate bar.

1 teaspoon of course salt

sprinkles ( optional)

Method:  In a mixer, mix sugar, butter and melted chocolate.  slowly add salt, flour and cocoa.   roll the dough out onto wax paper and refrigerate for an hour.  pull the dough out of the fridge and cut into squares.   top with sprinkles and salt before putting the cookies in the oven.  Cook cookies in the oven at 350 for 15 minutes.  Cookies should come out pillowy soft.

I love how durable these cloths are.   I featured these cloths last summer here.   I am still washing the original ones I bought and using them.  I have been using them to scrub the sink, clean dishes, clean the microwave, wipe down furniture in my kitchen, cleaning my coffee pot among other things.

Also check out Scotch-Brite® on social media. You will find inspiration from other bloggers on how to use these handy dish cloths.   You can find them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
