My family spends a lot of time running around to activities.  T-ball, soccer, cello practice, you name it.   Plus we try to take advantage of the family activities our community has to offer- whenever we can.  Back-to- school time is especially busy.

Instead of eating out during these busy times, I like to pack food in my backpack cooler.  That’s right, I have a cooler that is also a backpack, and it is so handy!

I find that when I eat foods with a high protein content- that food stretches further. (Meaning, I am less likely to become hungry when I am out running around with my kids.)

beef jerky

I found this multi-pack of Oberto All Natural Original Beef Jerky at Walmart, and thought it would be a quick way to prepare a protein-packed lunch on the go.   I actually made two of these.  One for me to bring to my son’s t-ball practice and another for my husband to take to work the next day.

The multipack, that is now available at Walmart has six packages of beef jerky sold together.

Oberto All Natural Original Beef Jerky is a great choice for those of us who need fuel to be active pretty much all the time.  It is high in protein, low in fat, low in carbohydrates,  and contains no artificial ingredients.   Plus, it tastes really good!

I packed Oberto All Natural Original Beef Jerky, along with cheese, a strawberry, toasted almonds, and peppers and tomatoes from my garden.   This lunch was filling, delicious and went a long way.   If you want to pack your own lunch using Oberto All Natural Original Beef Jerky, you can add whatever you like to yours. Fruit, nuts, seeds, cheese, salad or anything!
