Spicy Peach Pork Chops

for the longest time, I just couldn’t figure out how to cook a pork chop to my liking.

My pork chops always turned out dry and flavorless. I just couldn’t get them right. My “Iowa native” husband loves pork chops, so I really wanted to make this Pork chop thing work out.

This summer, I have tested a few pork recipes, and I think I have figured out some ways to make perfectly moist pork chops!

I want to keep these photos of raw pork chops to a minimal, but I will just give you some pork cooking tips that I have picked up over the last few weeks.

1) MARINATE! MARINATE! MARINATE! I have found that marinating pork for several hours really helps moisten it. I like to cut small slits in meat before I marinate. This way the pork will be as moist and as flavorful as possible.

2) USE A COUNTER TOP GRILL. With two toddler boys running around in my backyard this summer, I have avoided turning on my grill. Instead, I started using my Cuisinart GR-4N 5-in-1 Griddler“>Cuisinart countertop grill inside. I have found that this grill makes perfectly moist pork. It is also easy to keep tabs on your meat, and know when it is perfectly cooked.

Spicy Peach Pork Chops ( Makes 8 small pork chops)

1 Jar of Spicy Peach Jam

3/4 cup of cider vinegar

1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes

8 thin pork chops

Method: In a dish, mix together 1 small jar of spicy peach jam, cider vinegar and pepper flakes. Mix well. Place pork chops in the dish and cover each chop well. Cover dish and put it in the fridge for 5-10 hours. Remove pork chops from fridge and grill on your Cuisinart GR-4N 5-in-1 Griddler“>Cuisinart Griller for 10-15 minutes, or until your Pork reaches an internal temp of 145 degrees.

This pork was SUPER moist! I have tried a few other marinades using this pork cooking method, and it turns out so good every time!
