Healthy Mint Dirt Cup- And summer picnics with my kids

During the summer, I love preparing picnics for my boys. I love packing their little picnic basket and watching them eat all the fun “surprises” I put in it. ( I know that one day, I will hate packing lunches. But right now, I enjoy it).

I loved making this fresh mint dirt cup for my boys. It was so funny watching them look at it, deciding whether or not to eat it. ( I tell both of them all the time not to eat dirt).

I thought this tasted amazing. I made this dirt cup mint and added mint leaves from my herb garden. I also added some mint leaves on top so it would look like an herb garden.

This is such a fun treat for any summer outdoor party!

Healthy Mint Dirt Cups

This recipe has two main components: the cookies and the pudding.

Healthy Mint Cookies – Follow my Healthy Fresh Mint Chocolate Cookies Recipe.

Healthy Mint Pudding-
ingredients
1 1/2 cups of milk- your milk of choice
Six tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa
Five mint leaves
Three tablespoons of honey

Method: In your food processor, mix cocoa and mint until mixed well. Add milk and honey. And mix. Pour the mixture into a dish and let it set in the fridge overnight.

Assemble each dirt cup by placing pudding at the bottom of each bowl and crumbling my Healthy Mint Cookies on top. Add a gummy work and a mint leaf as a garnish.

This is such a fun outdoor dessert idea. I will be making this again.

Do you realize you just gave them a free ticket to eat dirt! You can not be upset with them the next time you see them eating real dirt. LOL I need to make this little treat for my little guy. He’d love it. Also, thanks for the reminder to buy a new bottle of sunscreen … so so important!

My kids were just asking me to teach them how to make pudding the other day! I will have to share this recipe with them. They will love sneaking the gummy worms into their cups 🙂

I’ve been meaning to get some Banana Boat sunscreen lotion. I made the mistake of getting a cheaper version, and it smells and feels awful. I love the mint accent used for this chocolatey treat.

Now that’s my kind of gardening! I love this idea and I bet the kids love it to. Summer is the time to try all of these super fun ideas. I wish we had Pinterest back when my kids were little, but now I can do these fun things with my grandbabies!

Brilliant! My boys are going to flip! We’ll definitely be bringing mint dirt cups for snacks and playdates now. And I’m going to add this to my weekly round up of healthy tips and treats! I also love your son’s shirt! We’re big superhero fans here, too 🙂

Really creative and interesting treat idea. It’s interesting how many healthy recipes are also the simplest! It’s kinda funny to think about passing by someone eating the dirt out of what looks like a potted herb plant. So funny!

Cute edible dirt cups! Perfect for messy little boys who love to play in the dirt. This is actually a genius concept but only eat the dirt mommy gives you!

Becaue my son stays dirty he would love this and I love the touch of the mint and the worms. I wouldn’t mind trying it in ice cream too for an adult version.

This sounds like such a fun treat for my mud loving little boys. I would even put a few gummy worms in them since my boys are currently obsessed with digging for bugs. Hope you guys are having a great summer so far!
