Are you a fan of cookie dough like I am? When I have cookie dough in my fridge, I pretty much act uncivilized. ( which is why I usually don’t keep it around)
On Sunday, I shared with you my Vegan and Healthy Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Bites. I made them for the sole purpose of making a Healthy Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Blizzard.
Do you like peanut butter? then this is the treat for you. This blizzard is easily made in the blender, gluten-free, naturally sweetened and can easily be made vegan by using non-dairy milk.
Sorry about the random watering can in the back of all these pictures. You see, I had two hungry toddler boys AND a hungry husband practically pounding on the table, demanding this blizzard as I photographed it.
I used regular peanut butter when I made the cookie dough portion of this dessert. But, I used PB2 when I made the blizzard part of this dessert. It’s less calories. You don’t have to use Pb2, regular peanut butter will work too.
Healthy Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Blizzard
Ingredients
1/2 cup of my Healthy Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Bites. Or any raw peanut butter cookie ( look it up online)
2 frozen bananas
1/4 cup of milk ( any milk you like)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons of PB2 or one tespoon of peanut butter
Method
In your blender, add frozen bananas, milk, vanilla and PB2. Blend until you get a soft serve consistency. Add 1/2 of the Healthy Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Bites. Pulse with the ice cream for just a few seconds. Stir in the other 1/2 of the dough bites. and eat.
Here is a picture of my three-year old’s hands enjoying this special treat. We made two of these using this recipe. We shared them. we love it.
I am feeling a little bit on a roll here. Should I try another blizzard recipe?
