This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and NatureRaised Farms, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #SCNRF http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

This might just be my new favorite chicken recipe!  When I was a kid, sour cream and onion chips were my favorite.  I thought it would be a fun idea to add those flavors to a piece of chicken!

In our house, we eat a lot of chicken.  It’s not actually uncommon for my husband to say,  “Chicken again?”   But do you know what I love about buying a large portion of chicken and eating it all week?  It’s so versatile!  Since we eat so much chicken, its crazy, how we notice a really good quality piece of chicken from a “eh not so much” piece of chicken

When I made this Crispy Baked- Sour Cream and Onion Chicken using NatureRaised Farms® Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast Portions, my husband couldn’t believe that this was actually frozen chicken!  He told me, that this chicken seemed too juicy to be frozen.

My healthy eating has been going really good this year.  In January, I decided to take the next step in order to feed my family the healthiest food possible.  This step included cutting back drastically on eating out, reducing sugar and making good choices at the grocery store.

Recently, I signed up for a Sam’s Club membership, and have found some fun and healthy items to keep around the house.  One of these items is NatureRaised Farms frozen chicken.  NatureRaised Farms chicken is 100% natural*, and contains no added hormones or steroids**. I found this chicken in the freezer section at Sam’s Club.  I actually love that this chicken is frozen and actually tasted as good as it did!  It is very important for me to choose high quality ingredients to feed my family.  I thought that 4 lbs. for $16.88 was an excellent price for vegetarian fed boneless chicken.

Crispy sour cream and onion chicken is really easy to make, plus it’s really flavorful and healthy.  If you would like to make this dish even healthier, then you can substitute the sour cream with Greek yogurt.

1 clove of minced garlic

2 teaspoons of onion powder

1-teaspoon salt

1/2-teaspoon pepper

1 cup of panko bread crumbs

Method:  Preheat oven to 400 degrees f.  Defrost 4 portions of NatureRaised Farms® boneless skinless chicken portions.   In one bowl, mix together sour cream, salt, pepper, and minced garlic and onion powder.   In a second bowl, mix together breadcrumbs and chopped green onions.   Once the chicken is defrosted, coat each piece of chicken with the sour cream mixture followed by the breadcrumb mixture.   Make sure that each piece of chicken is fully coated in breadcrumbs.   Bake on a baking sheet in the oven for 25 minutes at 400 degrees.  And enjoy.

It’s not too often, that a new recipe makes it to our regular dinner rotation, but I think that I will make this one again.   Both of my kids and my husband loved it.  Also, It’s not every day that we find a new healthy product that we all love.   We will, most definitely be getting this chicken from Sam’s club again, and you should too!

Would this something I could cook and freeze?

of course! You need to follow instructions for freezing already cooked chicken. Make sure you let the chicken cool down in the fridge for a few hours before freezing. Otherwise it can contaminate it. This would actually be easy to heat up in the microwave after you freeze it.

That looks so delicious. I love finding chicken recipes and I’m happy to see you used sour cream in it. I use sour cream with any and everything. I use it in place of mayo because I don’t eat mayo. Thanks for the recipe, I’m going to have to try to make it soon.

I have used mayonnaise and bread crumbs and baked the chicken (tastes just like fried). I never thought to use sour cream or yogurt–and I love onions especially when they are crunchy. I will be attempting this one for sure.

This recipe sounds amazing! I love sour cream and onion chips, so I’m willing to be I’d be a big fan of this chicken. I’ll have to check Sams Club for this chicken – I love that it’s all natural and I can get it frozen. Will be putting this on our meal plan for next week.

I am a huge sour cream and onion fan, so integrating it into a chicken recipe seems like heaven on earth. I’m kinda stoked that everything can be found at Sam’s club. I recently got a membership card so I will definitely go and pick up these items and whip this up!
