Peach Cream Cheese Cookies

by Kristen

Peachy and pillow-soft, these peach cream cheese cookies will satisfy your sweet tooth and are made with pantry ingredients!  These are the perfect addition to any summer spread and travel well!

These cookies turn out pillowy soft, sweet, and reminiscent of a summer peach pie.   These cookies have cream cheese and are made with peaches.  I used canned peaches in this recipe, but fresh peaches or thawed frozen peaches will also work well.

I have had loads of cookie recipes I have meant to test for a while now, so I told my four-year-old that we would make a batch of cookies every Friday after school.   I have an ongoing list of cookies I want to try, and I let my son pick what we will try.  ( for the record, not all of our cookies have made it to the blog) But I have a few different cookie formulas that have worked out well, where I have played around with the flavors.

These pillowy soft peach cookies are the perfect summertime treat and really hit the spot!  You will want to add the peaches to your mixer to puree them a little before adding them to the cookies.  I personally think these cookies taste better if you leave the peaches a little chunky.

These Peach Cookies are Easy to make!  All you need is:

All-Purpose Flour

Salt

Butter

Cream cheese

Baking soda

Baking powder

Sugar

Pure vanilla extract

1 Egg

You can make this dough ahead of time.

  • Refrigerate dough for up to two days.
  • Freeze dough in airtight freezer bags for up to two months.
  • You can also make the cookie balls ahead of time and freeze them from frozen.
  • Baking Tip-The recipe calls for you to refrigerate the cookie dough for up to 30 minutes.   You can skip this step if you’re in a pinch.  The cookies won’t roll into a ball as easily, but they will still taste delicious!

Peach Cream Cheese Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • egg
  • 1/2 cup chopped peaches

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Mix dry ingredients in a medium-sized bowl: flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar and set aside.

  3. Using an electric mixer, mix wet ingredients: butter, cream cheese, vanilla, egg, and peaches.

  4. Slowly add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients

  5. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes. You can skip this step if you're in a pinch, but the cookies won't form balls quite as easily.

  6. Roll dough into balls using your cookie scoop. Dust each ball with powdered sugar and place evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  7. Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes.

  8. Let cool and serve.

These cookies are the perfect summer treat!  I need to come up with a strawberry version!
