My family has been eating a lot of homemade Asian dinners lately. I love Asian food, but take-out can be greasy and fattening. Once you get all of the necessary sauces, there are a ton of recipes you can make with them!
Just a few weeks ago, I made Slow Cooker Pad Thai Chicken. I also have making a ton of fried rice recipes too. My Instant Pot makes amazing rice in 12 minutes, so that has been the inspiration behind this.
I am still new at making recipe videos, but here is how I made this sheet pan orange beef and broccoli. It turned out fantastic.
Sheet Pan Orange Beef and Broccoli
1 lb of sirloin steak- cut into strips. You can also use stew meat.
1/8 cup of corn starch
1/4 cup of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon of toasted sesame oil
juice of one orange- or 1/4 cup of orange juice
1-2 large heads of broccoli- chopped
1/4 cup canola oil
2-4 cups of cooked steamed rice
Method: Preheat oven to 400 degrees f. Mix the sauce. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar and ginger. Set aside. On the sheet pan, arrange beef and toss the beef with corn starch. Pour sauce over the beef and toss. Add broccoli to the sheet pan and pour orange juice all over the food. Add canola oil over the broccoli and bake for 20 minutes- or until the food is cooked to your satisfaction.
You may want to add a little water to the broccoli if you want the broccoli’s texture to come out more steamed instead of roasted.
I love this meal! It was just so easy too!
