This Microwave Berry Compote is super easy. It has no added sugar and only takes about 5 minutes to make. But I am going to get into the recipe in more detail at the bottom of this post.
First, look at this bowl after I made this Microwave Berry Compote.
So that is why I use Finish® Powerball® dishwashing tablets by Jet Dry® on my dishes. I also always keep Jetdry® in my dishwasher.
This year, I went out and bought myself some fancy white plates because they photograph so well. It is so important for me to take care of them. Last weekend, I headed to Wal-Mart to pick up these products – along with everything else I needed for my berry compote. I really love these Finish® Powerball® dishwashing tablets. Since I started using them a few months ago, I stopped having issues with built up food on my dishes.

Okay, now back to this easy berry compote.
This very simple berry compote is easy and only takes a few minutes to make in the microwave! It has no added sugar. ( although you can add some if you like) This berry compote is delicious when put on ice cream, put in a yogurt parfait, used as a sauce for pork chops, pancakes, toast or anything else. I put this compote in a jar in my fridge. I plan on using it in all sorts of ways.
Easy Berry Microwave Compote
2 cups of blueberries
1 cup of strawberries
juice and zest of one lemon ( you can sub with an orange or a lime if you like)
Method place all of the ingredients into a microwave-safe bowl. Cover. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. When you remove the bowl from the microwave, your compote will be complete. It tastes good both warm and cold.
