Here is another coffee frappe recipe. But this one is packed with protein!
I have started making smoothies for breakfast. Mostly green smoothies. This morning, I wanted a splash of coffee in my smoothie, so I made this hazelnut coffee frappe. This coffee frappe is vegan, had no added sugar and is made with only five ingredients.
If you like this hazelnut frappe, you might want to try making my original coffee frappe, my salted caramel coffee frappe or my French toast and coffee frappe. All of them have no added sugar and are delicious!
I wanted to make a hazelnut coffee frappe for the following reasons
1) I have always enjoyed the hazelnut latte on ice at Starbucks and I wanted to try to make something comparable at home.
2) I have been totally into adding nuts to my smoothies lately. Love the protein, and keeps me full longer.
Hazelnut Coffee Frappe
1 cup of cold coffee
1 frozen banana
1/3 cup of raw hazelnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup of almond milk
Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
I love incorporating coffee into my breakfast smoothies. Gives me everything I need to get going in the morning!
