Another Banana Ice Cream Recipe. I just can’t help myself. My 3-year-old is always asking for Banana Ice Cream. So I am always freezing bananas and trying out new recipes for the kids. I have a few others I want to try, so stay tuned. 🙂
Do you know what makes this banana soft serve taste like cheesecake? I added a tablespoon of my Cheesecake butter. The cheesecake butter made this delicious! Don’t have any Cheesecake Butter sitting around? don’t worry, I have written in the recipe below what to add in place of this.
Both of my kids are skinny. My second son is only in the 4th % for weight for his age, and his doctor has advised me to give him lots of whole milk and lots of healthy calories. When I made this for my kids, I used whole milk, but when I made this for me, I used almond milk. ( cashew milk would also be appropriate, although I have not tried it yet)
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 cup of frozen strawberries
- 1 tablespoon of cashew butter OR 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of vanilla ( extract or ground) and 1/4 cup of soaked cashews ( for at least an hour)
- 1/4 cup of milk ( milk of your choice)
- Add all ingredients into a blender and blend. If your soft serve seems too much like a milkshake, add more frozen fruit.
